Botulax is a botulinum toxin type A made by Hugel Inc. in South Korea. This page covers the two most ordered vials: 100 units and 200 units. Each box contains one vial of freeze-dried powder to be mixed with saline before use.

Both vials hold the same toxin. Choose the size above, and ask us about trade pricing if you order in volume.

Botulax 100U or 200U — which vial should you order?

Pick the vial that matches how many units you use once it is opened. A mixed vial has a short working window, so leftover units are usually wasted.

A full upper face often takes 40 to 64 units. A masseter treatment can take 25 to 50 units per side, which is where the 200-unit vial starts to make sense.

What is Botulax made of?

Botulax is purified botulinum toxin type A supplied as a freeze-dried (lyophilized) powder. Hugel produces it from the CBFC26 strain of Clostridium botulinum. The vial also contains human serum albumin and sodium chloride as stabilisers.

How does Botulax work?

Botulax blocks the release of acetylcholine where nerves meet muscle. The treated muscle relaxes for a period of months, so the skin above it creases less. That is why it is used on dynamic wrinkles — lines caused by movement — and on overactive muscles such as the masseter.

How do you dilute Botulax 100U and 200U?

Reconstitute with preservative-free 0.9% sodium chloride. The 200-unit vial needs twice the saline of the 100-unit vial to reach the same strength:

Units per 0.1 mL Saline for the 100U vial Saline for the 200U vial
10 U 1.0 mL 2.0 mL
5 U 2.0 mL 4.0 mL
4 U 2.5 mL 5.0 mL
2.5 U 4.0 mL 8.0 mL

Add the saline slowly down the side of the vial and swirl gently. Do not shake — foaming can damage the toxin protein.

When do results show and how long do they last?

Most patients notice an effect within 2 to 3 days, with the full result at around 2 weeks. Results usually last 3 to 4 months, and sometimes up to 6. Keep repeat treatments at least 3 months apart.

How should Botulax be stored?

Keep unopened vials refrigerated at 2–8 °C and away from light. After reconstitution, keep the vial in the fridge and use it within 24 hours. We ship toxins with cold packs in insulated packaging.

Botulax FAQ

Who makes Botulax?

Hugel Inc., South Korea.

Is Botulax 200U stronger than Botulax 100U?

No. It is the same toxin. The vial simply holds 200 units instead of 100.

How many units are in 0.1 mL?

It depends on the saline. For 4 U per 0.1 mL, add 2.5 mL to the 100U vial or 5 mL to the 200U vial.

What is in the box?

One vial of freeze-dried powder in the size you choose. Saline is not included.

How long does Botulax last?

Usually 3 to 4 months, depending on the area, dose and patient.

Can I order Botulax wholesale?

Yes. Contact us with your quantity and destination country for trade pricing.
