What is Cindella Inj made of?
Cindella has one active ingredient: thioctic acid, 25 mg in 5 mL, which is 5 mg per mL. Thioctic acid is a sulphur-containing fatty acid that the body also makes in small amounts. The excipients are listed on the box and in the insert.
| Item | Detail |

Cindella vs Lipotocin — what is the difference?
Both are thioctic acid injections, but the strength is very different. Lipotocin carries 300 mg per ampoule as the tromethamine salt, twelve times the amount in one Cindella ampoule. They are not interchangeable ampoule for ampoule.
| Cindella Inj | Lipotocin | |
|---|---|---|
| Active | Thioctic acid | Thioctic acid tromethamine |
| Thioctic acid per ampoule | 25 mg | 300 mg (476.4 mg as the tromethamine salt) |
| Ampoule volume | 5 mL | 12 mL |
| Concentration | 5 mg/mL | 25 mg/mL |
| Pack | 10 ampoules | 10 ampoules |
What is Cindella Inj used for?
The manufacturer lists Cindella for supplementation when the body's demand for thioctic acid is increased. You may know it by the nickname "Cinderella injection". We do not make whitening, weight-loss or anti-ageing claims for it; the prescribing clinician decides whether it is suitable.
How is Cindella Inj dosed?
Dosing follows the product insert and the prescribing clinician. We do not publish dose, frequency or course length for prescription-type injectables, and nothing on this page replaces the insert in the box.
How should Cindella Inj be stored?
Store Cindella at room temperature, 1–30 °C, in its carton. Thioctic acid breaks down in light, so keep the ampoules in the box until the moment of use. Shelf life is as printed on the box.
What should clinics check before use?
Do not use Cindella in a patient with a known allergy to thioctic acid. Thioctic acid can lower blood sugar, so take care with patients on diabetes medicine. Inspect each ampoule and discard any that is cloudy or damaged. Follow the precautions in the insert.
