Velash is a professional scalp care treatment from South Korea, also sold as Velash SHGF11. Each box holds 5 vials of 10 mL treatment solution and one 10 mL soothing moisturiser spray. The solution combines 11 growth factors with peptides, biotin and vitamins, and is applied to the scalp with a micro-needle therapy system (MTS).

What is Velash made of?

Velash is a water-based solution of growth factors, peptides and vitamins. The formula lists:

• Growth factors: a complex of 11, including EGF, FGF and IGF.
• Peptides: copper tripeptide-1, palmitoyl pentapeptide-4, palmitoyl tetrapeptide-7 and acetyl hexapeptide-8.
• Vitamins: biotin, vitamin C and B vitamins.
• Other ingredients: adenosine, arginine, L-carnitine and arbutin.

How is Velash used?

Velash is a two-step scalp treatment: solution with MTS first, then the soothing spray.

1. Wash and dry the scalp so it is free of oil and styling products.
2. Part the hair in sections and apply the Velash solution along the scalp.
3. Work it in with an MTS roller or pen, following the device and product instructions.
4. Mist the treated scalp with the soothing moisturiser spray to calm and hydrate it.

Velash is a topical scalp product used with micro-needling. Follow the manufacturer's protocol supplied with the box.

How many sessions are usual?

Scalp clinics commonly plan a course of weekly sessions over 4 to 6 weeks, then monthly maintenance. One box holds five vials, which matches a five-session course at one vial per visit. Results vary from person to person.
