Bentpla Gel is a clear topical gel made by Taiguk Pharm Co., Ltd. in South Korea. Each 15 g tube combines three active ingredients — heparin sodium, aescin and glycol salicylate — for the relief of pain and swelling from bruises, knocks and tired, swollen legs. It is applied to the skin only.

Clinics often keep it on hand for clients who bruise easily. Contact us for trade pricing on box quantities.

What is Bentpla Gel made of?

Each gram of Bentpla Gel contains three actives in a colourless, transparent gel base.

Ingredient Amount per 1 g Role
Heparin sodium 400 I.U. Supports local circulation where blood has pooled under the skin
Aescin (from horse chestnut) 10 mg Helps reduce swelling
Glycol salicylate 20 mg Eases local pain and inflammation

What is Bentpla Gel used for?

Bentpla Gel is used for pain relief and to calm inflammation in these situations:

  • Bruises and contusions from knocks, accidents or sport
  • Swelling linked to varicose veins
  • Superficial phlebitis (inflamed surface veins)
  • Tendon sheath inflammation (tendosynovitis)

How is Bentpla Gel used?

Apply a thin layer to the affected area several times a day and rub in gently. The gel absorbs quickly and does not leave a greasy film. Wash hands after use.

Use it on intact skin only. Do not apply it to open wounds, broken skin or mucous membranes. That means it should not go directly onto fresh needle entry points; wait until the skin has closed.

Who should not use Bentpla Gel?

Do not use Bentpla Gel if you are sensitive to salicylates, heparin or any ingredient. Avoid it in the last four weeks of pregnancy. People who take blood-thinning medicine or have a bleeding disorder should ask a doctor or pharmacist first. Stop use and seek advice if a rash or irritation appears.

How should Bentpla Gel be stored?

Store the tube tightly closed at room temperature (1–30 °C), away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep it out of reach of children. The expiry date is printed on the tube and box.
