Allow about 30 minutes. Apply it, cover the area, and wait half an hour before you wipe it off. The numbing effect then lasts around 60–90 minutes, which covers most laser, injection and PMU sessions.
How do you apply and remove Neo-Cain Cream?
- Cleanse the area and pat it dry.
- Apply a thick, even layer to intact skin.
- Cover with cling film or a dressing for the strongest effect.
- After about 30 minutes, remove the cover.
- Wipe off all the cream and rinse or wash the area with water.
- Disinfect the skin before you start the procedure.
Is Neo-Cain Cream safe on large areas?
Use it with care on large areas. Lidocaine passes through the skin into the blood. A strong cream spread over a wide area, left on too long or wrapped tightly can raise blood levels. Treat one area at a time, keep to the contact time and never apply it to broken or inflamed skin. Stop and remove the cream if the patient reports dizziness, tingling around the mouth or ringing in the ears.
