S-Cain Cream 30g is a Korean topical anaesthetic with 10.56% lidocaine, supplied in a 30 g tube. It numbs intact skin before injections, lasers, microneedling, piercing and tattoo or PMU work. Each tube comes in its own box, which makes it easy to keep one tube per patient.

It suits small areas and low-volume clinics. Ask us about trade pricing.

What is in S-Cain Cream?

  • Lidocaine 10.56% (105.6 mg per gram) — the numbing agent.
  • Methylparaben 1.5 mg per gram — preservative.
  • Cream base — light liquid paraffin, glyceryl monostearate, glycerin, isopropyl myristate, cetanol, sorbitan monostearate, stearic acid, carbomer, polysorbate 60, propylene glycol, sodium hydroxide and purified water.

The result is a white to yellowish cream. Note the propylene glycol and paraben if a patient has known sensitivities.

How long does S-Cain take to work?

Leave it on for 20–30 minutes. Numbing then lasts roughly 60–90 minutes, depending on the area and the patient. Lips and thin skin numb faster than the cheeks, forehead or body.

How do you apply and remove S-Cain Cream?

  1. Cleanse the area and pat it dry.
  2. Apply a thick, even layer to intact skin. Do not rub it in.
  3. For small areas, cover with cling film to speed up numbing.
  4. When the time is up, remove the film and wipe off all the cream with gauze.
  5. Disinfect the skin fully before you start the procedure.

Is S-Cain Cream safe on large areas?

Use it with care on large areas. Lidocaine passes through the skin into the blood. A strong cream spread over a wide area, left on too long or wrapped tightly can raise blood levels. Treat one area at a time, keep to the contact time and never apply it to broken or inflamed skin. Stop and remove the cream if the patient reports dizziness, tingling around the mouth or ringing in the ears.

How does S-Cain Cream compare with similar numbing creams?

S-Cain is one of several small tubes. Pick by formula first, then by pack size.
