Rejuran S is a polynucleotide (PN) injectable for scars, made by PharmaResearch in South Korea. Each box holds one 1 mL pre-filled syringe of 2% PN from salmon DNA in a thick, dense gel. Clinics place it under acne scars and other depressed scars, one scar at a time.

What is Rejuran S made of?
Rejuran S contains polynucleotide at 2% (20 mg per mL). That is the same strength as Rejuran Healer, but the gel is much more viscous. The thicker gel stays where it is placed and gives the base of a scar some support. There is no lidocaine in the syringe.

Which scars does Rejuran S suit?
Rejuran S suits depressed (atrophic) scars such as rolling and boxcar acne scars. It is not designed for raised or keloid scars. Deep, tethered scars often respond better when the clinician first releases them with subcision and then places Rejuran S underneath.
How is Rejuran S used?
It is injected into the dermis directly under each scar in small amounts. Clinics commonly plan three to four sessions, about four weeks apart. The thick gel can leave pinpoint swelling for two to three days.
